We take a quick, close look inside your ear using an otoscope to see if there are any visible problems, like an ear infection or perforated eardrum, affecting your ability to hear.
We play sounds at different volumes and pitches and have you press a button every time you hear each sound.
We place a small vibrating device on the mastoid bone behind your ear and have you identify the softest sound you can hear.
We play individual words at different volumes and have you repeat back what you hear.
We pump a little air into your outer ear canal to test the movement and flexibility of your middle ear.
We review the results of your test and together decide on a solution that is right for you.
