What services can you receive?

The Hearing Services Program covers a wide range of services and products for eligible candidates who are experiencing hearing loss.

The program includes, but is not limited to:

  • Hearing Tests:  Receive hearing assessments and consultations with a qualified hearing care professional.
  • Hearing Aid Fittings: If our hearing care professionals find that you are eligible and would benefit from a hearing solution, we will help you find the most suitable product for your needs.  Under the program, you can receive free hearing devices.  If you would prefer one of our more advanced hearing solutions, your voucher can be used to subsidise the cost.
  • Professional Support:  At no cost to you, our hearing care professionals will work with you to optimise your hearing aid experience. We want to ensure that you receive the greatest benefit possible from your device.
  • Hearing Aid Maintenance:  An optional maintenance agreement can be entered into for your hearing aids. This covers ongoing servicing, most repairs and the replacement of your hearing aid batteries. The federal government will subsidise the cost of your maintenance agreement, leaving you responsible for a very small annual payment.

Is it worth entering into a maintenance agreement?

Even the most advanced hearing aids will need occasional maintenance and every type of hearing device requires new batteries.  You can reduce your overall costs and protect yourself against unexpected repair costs by entering into a maintenance agreement.
